Privacy

The short version: your images never leave your device. CompressToKB has no server-side image processing at all — there is nothing to upload to.

How processing works

When you add an image, your browser reads the file locally and performs all decoding, resizing, re-encoding and ZIP packaging in the page's own code, using built-in browser technology (the Canvas API). The resulting files are offered back to you as downloads generated in the tab. At no point is any image — original or compressed — transmitted to CompressToKB or any third party.

What the hosting platform sees

Like any website, the static hosting that serves these pages receives ordinary request information (such as your IP address and browser type) when a page loads, under the host's own privacy terms. That is the extent of it: pages are static files, the tool's work happens after the page has loaded, and it generates no network traffic of its own.

Verify it yourself

You do not have to take this page's word for it. Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, reload, and then compress an image: no request carries your image anywhere. The method is described in full on the how it works page.
